Our Story

Our journey began with our Arctic Charr fish farm in Whitehorse, Yukon. For over three decades, our farm has been synonymous with high quality Arctic Charr fish products featured in white tablecloth restaurants across the country.

With the goal to become a zero-waste facility, the Fish Lake Road brand was born.  Pet treats, raw meals and toppers were made from the fish trimmings. Due to the overwhelming demand for fish-based pet products, it became clear that manufacturing these products in our own facility was an important next step.

A perfect facility was found in Waterloo, on the (aptly named) Labrador Drive.  With the purchase of state-of-the-art food processing equipment, Labrador Pet Inc. was formed. 

What started as a creative outlet for our leadership team has developed and evolved into a passion of manufacturing quality
food products for Fish Lake Road and other pet brands.

Why Was Labrador Pet Created?

Labrador Pet was created to make raw feeding feel more approachable for everyday dog owners. Our goal is to create a local space where people can find trusted products, real support, and a community that genuinely cares about dogs. By manufacturing on-site, we’re able to offer some of the most affordable raw feeding options without compromising on the quality of the food we provide.
